Life Remaining Website Disclaimer
Effective date: October 17, 2026
General Information Only
The information on liferemaining.com (the “Website”) is provided by Life Remaining, a California sole proprietorship owned and operated by Paul Benevich, for general educational and informational purposes. It is intended to help individuals, families, caregivers, and loved ones learn about end-of-life doula support and consider questions they may wish to discuss with appropriate professionals.
Although we aim to present thoughtful and accurate information, we do not guarantee that every item is complete, current, error-free, or appropriate for every person or situation.
Non-Medical Support
Life Remaining provides compassionate, non-medical end-of-life doula and family support. An end-of-life doula does not replace a physician, nurse, hospice or palliative-care team, therapist, attorney, financial professional, clergy member, funeral professional, or other licensed or qualified provider.
Life Remaining does not:
- diagnose or treat medical or mental-health conditions;
- prescribe, administer, or recommend changes to medication;
- perform clinical or nursing procedures;
- determine hospice eligibility;
- provide legal, financial, or tax advice;
- make healthcare or other decisions on another person’s behalf; or
- provide emergency or crisis services.
All medical, mental-health, legal, financial, and other professional questions should be directed to appropriately qualified professionals who can evaluate your individual circumstances.
No Professional Relationship Through Website Use
Viewing the Website, reading an article, sending an email, submitting the contact form, or participating in an introductory conversation does not create a client relationship, healthcare-provider relationship, fiduciary relationship, or other professional relationship with Life Remaining.
A doula-client relationship begins only after Life Remaining and the client mutually agree to services and any applicable service agreement is completed.
Not for Emergencies
The Website, email address, telephone number, and contact form are not emergency or crisis services and are not continuously monitored.
If you believe someone is in immediate danger or is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. For urgent clinical questions, contact the person’s physician, hospice or palliative-care team, or another qualified provider. If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis in the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Individual Results and Decisions
Every illness, family, relationship, belief system, and end-of-life experience is different. Stories, examples, articles, and descriptions on the Website are illustrative and do not promise or guarantee a particular experience, result, level of comfort, or outcome.
You remain responsible for your own decisions and for consulting appropriate professionals. Life Remaining does not make decisions for clients or family members and cannot guarantee agreement among individuals, families, caregivers, or professional care teams.
Healthcare, Hospice, Insurance, and Legal Information
Healthcare services, hospice and palliative-care eligibility, insurance coverage, advance-care-planning requirements, and applicable laws vary by provider, plan, location, and individual circumstances. Website content should not be relied upon to determine eligibility, coverage, legal rights, or required documentation. Confirm current information with the appropriate healthcare provider, insurer, attorney, government agency, or other qualified source.
External Resources
The Website may link to third-party organizations, articles, or resources. These links are provided for convenience and education. Life Remaining does not control, guarantee, or necessarily endorse third-party content, services, privacy practices, or availability.
Contact Form and Sensitive Information
Please do not submit medical records, detailed health histories, Social Security numbers, financial-account information, or other highly sensitive information through the Website contact form. The form is intended for general inquiries. If additional personal information is needed, we can discuss an appropriate way to communicate.
